Our Mission
The Vermont Innovation, Efficiency, and Weatherization (VIEW) Training Center is dedicated to advancing clean energy and sustainable practices throughout Vermont.
Our core mission is to:
Provide high-quality, accessible training in weatherization and related fields
Build a diverse, qualified workforce to meet Vermont’s growing clean energy needs
Support the state’s goal of weatherizing 120,000 homes by 2030
Foster lifelong learning and career advancement for individuals in the energy efficiency sector
Who We Serve
The VIEW Training Center serves a wide range of individuals and organizations across Vermont, including:
Entry-level job seekers interested in entering the weatherization field
Existing weatherization professionals seeking advanced training and certifications
Contractors and construction companies looking to expand their expertise in energy-efficient building practices
Community organizations and workforce development boards supporting individuals from underrepresented groups
Homeowners interested in learning more about weatherization and energy efficiency
We are committed to ensuring access to training for all Vermonters, with a focus on reaching rural and low-income communities, as well as individuals from diverse backgrounds. We are accomplishing this by:
Working with community organizations to recruit and support trainees from underrepresented groups
Offering a mix of online, in-person, and hybrid programs to accommodate different learning styles and schedules
Focusing recruitment efforts in disadvantaged areas
Targeting marketing and outreach to low-income communities and underrepresented groups to increase awareness of training opportunities

Our Advisory Board
The VIEW Training Center benefits from the guidance and expertise of a dedicated Advisory Board. This board plays a crucial role in:
Providing strategic guidance to ensure the Center’s long-term sustainability and impact

Incorporating diverse perspectives into decision-making
Aligning the Center’s activities with local needs and opportunities
Overseeing curriculum development, training delivery, and adherence to industry standards, ensuring the VIEW Center maintains high-quality programming

History of OEO Support
The Office of Economic Opportunity (OEO) has been instrumental in establishing and supporting the VIEW Training Center. Recognizing the critical need for a skilled weatherization workforce in Vermont, the OEO has provided key funding and guidance to create a self-sustaining training center with long-term viability. This investment reflects Vermont’s commitment to:

In Partnership with Everblue
Everblue is proud to partner with the State of Vermont and the Office of Economic Opportunity to operate the VIEW Training Center. As an IREC-accredited training provider and BPI Test Center with over 16 years of experience in weatherization education, Everblue brings a wealth of expertise and resources to this important initiative. Everblue is a mission-driven, veteran-owned organization committed to service and lifelong learning.
This partnership leverages Everblue’s existing comprehensive weatherization curriculum, proven program management capabilities, and innovative software solutions to ensure the success of the VIEW Training Center. Registration for courses will occur on the Everblue website.
